Dragon progress

No, I can’t stay away. I may not be able to produce a regular, organized podcast anymore, but I just can’t leave this site. If it’s all right with you lovely readers, I’d like to continue on here, adapting Knit Misadventures into a audio documentation of sorts. I can’t guarantee any kind of consistent schedule, nor can I commit to a solid format.

I can, however, share things I learn along the way in my knitting, and hopefully spare fellow knitters some trouble by stumbling into, out of, and around various foibles, explaining some of the ‘whats’ and ‘whys’ along the way.

What say you, kinsfolk? Humor me on this? Once my next paycheck rolls around, I’ll be restocking some batteries for my recorder. I welcome and treasure any comments, questions, suggestions, and/or feedback in advance. If there is anything anyone would like me to address publicly on a recording, I encourage you to leave a comment below, or via the 24/7 feedback line at 219-595-ADHD (219-595-2343).

Oh yeah. About the picture. I’ve restarted the Dragon of Happiness. Again. This is the third try, and I think this one will stick. The yarn (Jaggerspun Zephyr) is a better match for the pattern, and I am devoting my lunch breaks at work to completing at least one row (231 stitches) per day. I’ve just finished row 55 (out of 554), and I’ve discovered that storing this project at work is much safer than at home. (Attempt #2 got ruined in a dangerously messy bedroom.)

What will I do with it when I’m done? Well, believe it or not, I’m thinking about donating it to the Library to use as a raffle prize someday. I do want this dragon for myself, but it won’t really work in my current apartment. I own the pattern, so I can always make myself another when I have a suitable place to hang it.
